All proceeds benefit the Sexual Assault & Family Trauma (SAFeT) Response Center of Lutheran Community Services NW (LCSNW).  LCSNW is dedicated to empowering and healing children, adults and families in crisis.  Annually, we serve over 3,700 children, individuals and families who experience violent trauma or sexual assault.

All funds raised stay here in Spokane to support the SAFeT Response Center. SAFeT offers healing and hope to trauma survivors whose lives have been ravaged by sexual assault and violent crimes. Sadly, many of these victims are children.Your generosity helps provide: Immediate Crisis Response through hotlines staffed 24/7, Therapeutic Counseling and Violence Intervention, Medical and Legal Advocacy, Personal Safety Education and Outreach to at-risk communities and individuals.


 

Last year, I rode in the Lutheran Community Services Northwest 8 Lakes Leg Aches Bike Ride in memory of my good friend, Matthew Harker. Matt died 2 months prior to the 2014 ride in a tragic cycling accident, leaving behind a sweet wife and 3 beautiful children. I plan to continue honoring Matt's legacy by making my ride an annual tradition.

Matt taught all who knew him to "Live Bold." So, on August 1st, I will challenge myself to a longer ride this year (30 miles), and a fundraising goal of $500 to support survivors of sexual assault, trauma and human trafficking. If you choose to support me, know that your donation is made in honor of one of the best human beings I've had the privilege of briefly walking alongside in this life. Also know that every dollar of your donation will go directly to helping someone who has survived unspeakable abuse and trauma.
